She researches the world around her in order to create questioning, sociological and hopefully funny works which eventually end up in a performance, installation or even in art-direction.

Fransje Christiaans is a multidisciplinary
maker/ teacher/ director
As a theatre maker Fransje has worked on different projects for various companies such as STUT, Frascati, Festival aan de Werf, Fringe Festival, Theater Festival de Parade and Toneelgroep Amsterdam. Most of her work is site- specific, visually strong and interdisciplinary. Next to being a maker she also teaches theatre at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht since 2009.
Fransje studied at the Master of Scenography (HKU):
a two-year master designed for doing artistic research within the visual arts & theatre. She researched how to create performative installations about social situations in an aesthetic, humorous and provocative way.
She loves to work on the art- direction & overall styling for a project.
